Of Ukrainian origin, Anna Politkovskaya was a Russian journalist whobecame famous thanks to her fight to defend human rights in acomplicated post-Cold War political context.
She has been awarded several prizes, including the Courage inJournalism prize from the International Women’s Media Foundation. TheAnna Politkovskaya Prize today designates a reward given to womenwho have the courage to defend human rights in conflict zones.
Today, she is a symbol of freedom of the press, having taken many risksto defend her ideas, which also cost her her life since she wasassassinated. 16 years after his assassination, we have chosen to developa range of liquid lipsticks made up of 16 shades to pay homage to him.
